What is National Youth & Young Adult Week?
National Youth & Young Adult Week is a time set aside in the CME Church calendar where we lift up our Youth & Young Adults. Each local church, district and/or region is asked to plan specfic events that will give them an opportunity to share in the life of the church. This wonderful event takes place on the last Sunday in January through the first Sunday in February. Next year the dates are Sunday January 27 - Sunday February 3, 2008. The theme is "Doing A New Thing" taken from Isaiah 43:18-19
Has your church began to plan? Do you need some help with ideas? You still have time. Take a few minutes and share what your church is doing.
My church, the great Tabernacle Community CME Church in St. Albans, NY has begun to plan some really great things. This year our plans include a Sock Hop, Friday Night Live, Saturday Night Singsation (Concert), Out of the Box Luncheon, and Morning Worship Service participation.
